Practical Drawing Series Perspective (Part 4)
By Nick Ustinov
This is a scan that illustrates two box groups. You can see the deformations of the cubes.
That scan shows a table with a pyramid and a cube. The horizon is located in the top of the drawing plane and goes through the center of the table. All three objects are placed frontally, parallel to a drawing plane, so part of the horizontal line goes parallel to the horizon but part goes to the central joining point. If you draw a part of the table from the view point, you should shift the location of the main view ray to the right. With that, the drawing plane will move, too.
All the horizontal lines here rise to the horizon, to the joining points that are situated outside the drawing edges. Horizon is assumed to be on the top edge of the drawing. When drawing spinnable objects it is important to know, which perspective changes are noticeable in circles according to the alignment and spacial environment. All you should take into account is that a circle can always be imagined inside the rectangle.
