I am currently producing my website content. I was wondering whether there was any standard format for personal home pages. I am a student who is currently on internship, hence I just want to explain a little bit about myself and my work
Any helpful links???

You can make the design whatever you like - it's your homepage, you can do what you want (within reason). Make sure all the code you use is valid however, see the W3C site for (X)HTML and CSS specifications:

The good man is correct. You can use whatever format your little heart desires. That's the fun of personal webpages. They should be a reflection of you. I had a friend who just places stuff in seemingly random places all over the page, for my personal site I broke up everything nice and neatly with navigation out the wazoo. The only link I've ever seen about doing personal webpages tho was on html.goodies.com but you are welcome to take a look http://www.htmlgoodies.com/tutors/mythoughts.html

Good Luck!

Another link for you to look at:

<preaching>Since you are begining to design webpages, attempt to make them accessible (especially if you are interested in for-profit webdevelopment). Also, use valid HTML/XHTML (http://validator.w3.org can be used to check for compliance with HTML rules). Use CSS for layout instead of tables.</preaching>
