I was wondering if anyone knew how to change the default settings in Excel. For example, I would like to set things so that the "gridlines" are not shown when I open a new workbook. It's just a quirk I have, but if anyone knows, it would be great to find out how to do this.

It's under the preferances (at least on my box it's under Perferances > View > Window Options).

I know how to turn the gridlines off. I'm trying to find out how to set things on Excel so that the gridlines never appear when I open the program. Right now, the default setting is to show gridlines. I'd like to have to where the default is not to show gridlines. is there a way to do this?
