Would somebody mind taking a look at a site I designed for a friend of mine? It's nothing fancy- just 2 extra sets of html pages displaying current work of a landsape company- it's attached to an swf file. I just saw them for the first time on a PC and they looked AWFUL! The PNG files that I used for the text- instead of having a transparent background, have this strange light bluish background that doesn't match at all. maybe if someone saw the code they would be able to see what was wrong.

The pages are www.tlgdesign.net/current.html and www.tlgdesign.net/current_more.html

Any help would be appreciated. And again, I know that the pages probably look like crap to anyone who knows what they're doing, but this was just a favor for a friend. Thanks!!!!

so does nobody use png transparencies on the web? Should I make gif with the appropriate background color and risk it not matching exactly?

Thanks

thanks.. there is a whitish outline around the text as a gif though- anything I can do about that?
Also- the image in the first pop up doesn't show for some reason- I've checked the link and uploaded the image a few times- is it possible it's corrupted? If you have a second to take a look I'd appreciate it.

Did you moved the image to another file or folder by any chance? Perhaps mistakenly delete the image?
There are other reason what could of happen to that image (correct me someone or add input, this is by personal experience).

1. You could of moved the image out of that folder it sits in
2. Renamed the image.
3. Renamed the folder.
4. Delete it by mistake.

Ps...I think the site looks great!

The background of the image before applying transpartency should be the same color as color that will show through the transparent part. Also the tolerance of the floodfill tool in changing the background is important (if used).
Also- the image in the first pop up doesn't show for some reason-It's missing; wrong path or name.
