There is some type of free program (or software) that you can download to animate gif files...does anyone know what it is called? or can anyone tell me how i can do this? i think i remember the program having something to do with "freeze" but i don't really remember...i used it in college a while ago. HELP!!! :confused:

There are many free trials of good programs, like xara. If you go on tucows or downloads.com you'll find many free trials, and most of these programs are very cheap, so if your on a budget. Instead of buying expensive programs like Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop. But the best free graphic program I know is Gimp. I have herd that the coffiecup animator is good (the full version at least). See if you can get a free trial.

if you have photoshop that means you have Adobe ImageReady Cs2 as well, use that, then look into simple animations by using the twain and other functions of it. [example attached]
not only can it do some pretty advanced animations, but you can use it to slice your images into html, and get a jump start on most of the layout coding you will need for a page
