Google.com XML w/ Search Bots

I am trying to make sense of how to use the google sitemaps.

I have loaded the phython files into my root directory and launched it, but it gives me a bunch of XML info that just relates to its source code and not to any content from my site. Am I doing soemthing wrong? Has anyone ever used this sitemap generator?

Help Appreciated....

p.s. What variables (if any) must I edit in the source files...?

I created a sitemap generator several months ago after using it for my clients for a while. You may find this much easier to work with and more helpful than many other services and software applications.
