Make sure the cables are firmly connected and that there are no bent or missing pins on the connectors. Other than that, if other monitors are working on the same computer with the same cabling, then there's probably a physical defect in the monitor.

This happened to me a long time ago. It's because the resolution/colors that Windows is using aren't supported by that monitor. You'll need to boot into safe mode, change the resolution/color, and reboot.

Also check that the refresh rate is compatible (60Hz is usually safe if you don't know what the monitor supports).

does it only display something during the booting sequence, or whenever you turn if on?

booting sequence lol :p

start up initiation procedures :)

Yeah, just make sure the cables are plugged in alright and maybe you could try resetting all the settings on the monitor to their default settings.

it sounds like something from star trek-

Captain! The booting sequences aren't working!

that wouldn't make much sense anyway..you would say the system isn't booting or the booting sequence has been interrupted, or something like that...but "booting sequences not working" ..i don't think so

anyway..i meant the when the system is booting...isn't it called booting sequence or what!?

No need to get angry. Smile, life is good :)

I guess you could also call it startup. Sometimes I talk to myself and say that the computer doesn't loadinate fast enough :p
