I am going to be having my first child in a few months and want to stream live video from my webcam to my website. I have looked around the web and at different forims but am confused as to what I need to do exactly. I have also tried a few different apps that are out there, but they didn't work how I need it to. I am hosting it myself and am using windows server 2003 with iis 6.0. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

There are several servailance programs that can be used. You will need to establish your computer as a server, have a highspeed connection and a static IP address.
You would then bring in your live broadcast in to your site in an "I Frame" as your video needs to be small.

If you go to this site (http://www.bmyers.com/public/1073.cfm?sd=30) it explains exactly how to add this feature. It states that it takes less than ten minutes.

I set up that camstreams application a few weeks ago, the problem that I have with using it is that you have to broadcast your video to anyone that logs onto that site. I would like to be able to just have it streaming off my own website and not have to be rerouted to their site.

You can download Microsoft Media Encoder for free. You'll have to get a static IP, and a camera (w/ or wo/ microphone). It's not a quick learn, but not that difficult. If you want to take this route, download the software, look through it and ask me questions. I don't want to go through all the details if you're not going to do this, but if you do, only the people you give out the url to will know where to go to watch.

why aren't you using flash and getting the on the website? it will be easier.
