Hi, do most templates that they sell online for web pages, allow you to add any kind of codes to them, or do they have to be specially set up to accept certain codes? Please get back to me, thanks! Ri.

On html templates you can change anything you want if you have the programming knowledge. Some flash templates may only allow text to be added...others are less restrictive...You can use marcomedia flash to edit them if you have the knowledge. You may also get .psd files which can be edited with adobe photoshop...or you can just use your own photos. Most template companies usually have a faq or how-to on their site.

OK, can you even add flash to an html template? Also, do most of the templates allow you to move their main template design around and how many web pages do most of the templates allow you to make with them? Thanks, Ri

If you have the programming skill you can add/subtract/change anything. You can move them in any fashion you want. You can also make as many pages as you want (unlimited) just by file -> save as -> newpage.html, and then tweak that page to say whatever you want.

Well that sounds just too cool. Know of a good html template site where they aren't too expensive? Otherwise I'll have to stick with Nvu, but a template might be easier. Thanks, Ri.

I've been looking at this question for my class of computer-beginners who want to build a website. We're using Ewisoft Website Builder which gives you about 5 free templates but they have lots more to download that cost about $30. t's easy to use. If you have web building skills, you can make changes to the template easily.

There are others of course.

Thanks for the tip, your students might like Nvu too. You can flip back and forth quickly between the html source code and creating your pages with layers visually. On the layers you can add any colors you want, any design you want, and insert text directly into each layer that backs up right to the edges or where ever you want the text in each layer. You can also insert images into them. Then if you want to insert the code into a different html template you can. Ri.
