Could you please give me some feedback on this website we did for a UK company selling children's shoes imported from Sweden. I would especially like your feedback in terms of the visual design, e.g. colours, buttons, fonts etc. Whatever you think off the look. We had to use the corporate national colours of Sweden.

Nice Website, what did you use to build the Store shopping cart? Or is it an open source script?

I like the layout...

The links on the left side are not easy to read. I would suggest a little clearer type style

You should try to down size the images file sizes, try making them a gif file, that should really compress the file size.

Things such as email, and phone numbers, you may want to make them into an images, for robot protection (spammers).

A suggestion for your navigation, is you should make one foot on the left for the top link, the one bellow that on the right, and below that on the left, and so on.

I don't like it and here is why:

1. It's a shopping web site, so why I don't see your products and prices on your home page? ( As a customer I don't care about your welcome message)

2. What's a Swedish flag for? It doesn't represent web site language and it doesn't represent web site locale ( since it's a UK web site). It's very confusing design element.

3. About us -- tells nothing about you.

4. Left navigation is confusing. What's the difference between products and the gallery? Also, it doesn't reflect an active page ( same blue regardless of where you are).

5. Three clicks to reach a product list and even there you don't display prices and descriptions? Your customers will hate you, so consider displaying prices at least.

6. Shoe detail page have no quantity option? Mother with more than 1 child will hate you for it. Shue colour options should be above "add to cart" button. And why there are both "proceed to checkout" and "add shopping cart" buttons there, when "proceed to checkout" button doesn't work when shopping cart is empty.

7. In the shopping cart consider replacing "delete" checkboxes with either "delete" buttons or links. Your customers will thank you for it.

8. You sell shoes and you have no search! Well, just remmeber that most people have no time for your store either and unless you give them the option to find stuff, they will hit "back" button.

9. I don't see privacy policy. Also, your security statement is bad. Just because you process transactions via Paypal it doesn't guarantee any security. Consider removing this statement altogether or actually explain how you guarantee customer's safety.

10. Personally, I don't like fixed layouts. It's look small and nasty on my screen. But this is me.

Thanks
Oliver

The links on the left would look so much better with a bit of DHTML.
