I used to own a PC and I used a decent html editor, but since I got a powerbook, I havent been able to find any decent editors. Right now im using "notepad for MAC's" but it really really sucks....

my biggest issue with it is that it doesnt save or open *.php *.html or *.cgi files, so when I download a script and edit it, I must change every file into a .txt file to open it, then edit it, then convert it back into a .cgi file...really annoying...

so are there any good html editors that work on macs? most editors that I've come across are only Windows capatible...

..im dying here. :(

I use JEdit (http://www.jedit.org/). It's written in Java so it works on loads of operating systems. It's also the best editor I've used. I tried a few out that came preinstalled with my operating system, but none of them allowed me to select blocks of code and so I just ditched them and went straight back to JEdit.

Yes, jEdit is a very nice cross-platform editor, especially when you get a bunch of add-ons loaded into it.
