I'm halfway through my portfolio site and was wondering a few things...

1. Does it matter if you have a flash gallery on a static site?

2. Does it matter if you have links to other site that have tutorials on etc, does this look unprofessional?

Also wanting to know what people think of it so far.

sorry by the way, I know there are some little things I might have missed like naming the page title.

1: no just have the movies spawn in new windows

2: it is never good to link to other sites, using their bandwith is a big time no-no, either creatue your own tutorial, or get the owners permission.

3: a clean start, however i would remove the navagation at the bottom, as the page does not scroll so there is no need for it.

and i would change the headers such as 'Welcome' in the body to white, as the blue is too difficult to read over a black background

I like your artwork and color combinations.

One thing you have to change is the Welcome or whatever word is used on different pages on the black background. YOU CAN NOT READ IT.
