Hey,
Is it possible to loop only certain parts of a GIF image? I am creating a web site and I want to only loop the last two stills of a GIF image. I haven't seen anything stating if this is possible but if it is could you please tell me how? If not, I could just add copies of these stills to the end, but this would take more time and more bandwidth.
Thanks in advance,
lutherjw :)

no, you can not loop though it without increasing the file size, you can with flash, have it repeat the latter end of an animation in the time line, however a gif goes from start to beginning.
only way you could do that is to duplicate the end of the gif, over and over, and over, increasing the file size indefinatly. In this case i would reccomend flash.
If you do not want flash, then use swish, way easier to use, still creates the *.swf animation for you. http://www.swishzone.com/

well, it is possible simply change what you want to change on each image and leave what you want to leave. When you animate it, it will only show the parts you changed looping
Or did i not understand what you meant?

I think you may have misunderstood me. I have a GIF with about 50 stills and I only want to loop the last two.
Thanks for the help skilled1.

no problem sir, you can just replace each slide of the gif, into a moment in swish-studio, and once you get to the last two frames, have it loop indefinatly, or untill the page is relaoded. and just embed the *.swf in the page where the gif was, should work just fine
