Just want to drop in a say thanks to everyone who gave us feedback a little over a month ago when we launched our v0.5 beta. Now, after many hours of tweaks, edits, and little fixes, Jona (http://www.slightlyremarkable.com/) and I (http://green-beast.com/) have launched GrayBit v.10 Grayscale Conversion Contrast Accessibility Tool (http://graybit.com)!
The only bit of feedback we didn't act upon is the reverse default theme -- one person expressed dissatisfaction with it. We did, however, add a PHP style changer and offered up a more conventional black-on-white theme (which is available by way of a link on the footer at this time), but after polling users and getting an overwhelmingly positive response to the original white-on-black theme, we decided to keep it as the default. I guess this would make our user interface the antigoogle ;)
Feedback, of course, is still welcome, but you should be quite pleased now with the tool's performance and the accessible user interface.

OMG, this is sooooo cool !!!!! Just today, I read the Dive into accessibility (http://diveintoaccessibility.org/) book, and indeed, they explain about color-blind people. I must say, I never really though that people might be unable to see the colored-but-not-underlined links, and I realize I'll have to change a few things on my website.
Now, it's 2am, but I'll have a longer look at this excellent new site of yours tomorrow !!!!
What you did is really great. I have a blind friend, and she told me once that browsing the web was not an easy thing, because most of the websites don't care about accessibility...
Just a little remark : everything was grey on my website except the images as used as bullets in ul lists : with a list-style-image attribute. Maybe it's a tiny bug ? Doesn't matter much, though. I just thought you would be happy if I pointed it out.

I dont think it works with CSS BG images.
Usually does. Do you have a site where it didn't?

Don't worry, it does work. My whole site is almost only css background images, and it worked perfectly (except for the list-style-image property)

the color scheme is awesome
Does the list-style-image property work on your site now, Ness?

It does ^^ And my website looks great in gray, lol. That's a very useful tool you've both came up with. I'm thinking of doing my personal website, it will surely be featured there ^^ I want to do a lot on accessibility, so it's a must-see !!!

oh oh oh, but I just found something else that doesn't work... it's in the calendar, there is a change color on hover, and the color is still here (and it's not on the other hover links).
Here is the url, so you can have a look at it : http://enfantsdelo.free.fr/news/index.php
(just hover on the calendar days that are crossed over... <-- I hope this sentence means something, because I'm getting tired, and my English has a tendency to be a bit messy after midnight... ^^)
I'm going to Hong Kong tomorrow, so I won't be able to answer back, but feel free to have a look at the horribly messy css (I have to tidy it up, but I'm running short of time) and click around if you see any other strange things.
