well i've been trying to get the content div on www.merlins-realm.co.uk to align centrally in both IE and FF... it seems that no matter wot i do, float:left is gonna be needed or it will overlap the nav div in FF, tho now i'm having difficulty putting the div in the centre...

any help would be much appreciated, thnx

Try margin:15px; in your #content.

And in non-tables layout. Alot more ability to style, update and add content to this way. -Great! :)

ah, it doesn;t matter, managed to fix my problem myself by slicing the image into 3 parts, header body and footer and just placed the divs in the way i wanted it...

works out better anyway as i'm no longer limited by the height of the content - dunno y i didn't do it in the first place really lol

i appreciate the input given by u both tho, greatly :P think i tried margin sizing but it kept effecting it differently in IE as opposed to FF
