I'm updating a website and it has some Flash files that include a .gif of a logo that needs to be replaced and an address that needs to be changed. Can anyone recommend shareware that would allow me to view and modify the .swf files?

Bottom line, you can not edit the *.swf files. They are published. What you need is the *.fla files [equivalant to *.psd files for graphics] so that you can make the changes.

Only way to get around that is look for a *.swf ripping program and try to decompile the *.swf file back into a *.fla file, make the edits, and re publish it to a *.swf file for the web.

TiGGi: Good lookin out. It works most of the time, sometimes it has trouble with fonts, and actions, other than that, it is stil lthe best options if he does not have access to the origional *.fla files.
