yes...
1.4 has been released...
but it is still a beta version (they are looking for feedback and error reporting)

1.3 remains the only stable version (although not in my opinion)

I downloaded 1.4 today because 1.3 was a pain in the *ss.
(it required a new "profile" every time I launched it  . so far 1.4 hasn't thrown that box at me... and if it does... adios Mozilla)

I'll be interested to hear Khalid's (and other Mozilla users) review of this latest version.

In the meantime... I'd REALLY like to know people's review of IE6.
(especially as it relates to developing for it).

;) k

LOL, khaki, IE6 has been out for quite a while. First of all, in Mozilla 1.3, which I finally downloaded (did you see my post?), I got the profile thing once only. I just checked the, "don't show this message again" box, and that was the end of that. So far I think Mozilla is a great browser.

But getting back to IE.. I like it more than any other browser simply because of the way it looks to me... If you read my post (a few posts below here) you'll see my complete explanation.. I don't want to type up all of that again! :D

I think I'll keep 1.3 for my Windows machine, as that is stable and I'm happy with it, but download 1.4RC1 for Linux and try that as well. Do any of you run Mozilla on Linux?

Actually, I don't have Linux. Only Windows. But I might load Linux on this laptop when (and if :() I get my new one.

put linux on your desktop... You can have windows and redhat at the same time, it will just ask you which you want to boot into each time you startup.

I don't know about "trillions", but due to the fact that linux is open-source (rock on, open source) there are quite a few distributions of linux, such as Red Hat, SuSE, Caldera, Mandrake, etc...

my friend didnt have a hard drive for his old machine so he ran a pda (I think) version of linux off of one of those mini disc things for a month on his machine. They have some small little os's and they run fassstttttttt too. Have you seen longhorn, same friend got an alpha of windows longhorn its just like xp but it runs like twice as fast.
