Hi,

Please have a look at the following URL:
http://www.vans.riverlandpages.com/cgi-bin/CSVread/csvread.cgi?show=1000014&mytemplate=tp1

Then perform the following steps:
1 - Click the Tell-A-Friend Tab.
2 - Click Submit (Error message displayed from referrer page for submited form).
3 - Click [Back one Page] (javascript:history.go(-1) displays correctly).
4 - Click the Tell-A-Friend Tab (again).
5 - Click Submit (Error message displayed from referrer page for submited form again).
6 - Click [Back one Page] (javascript:history.go(-1) displays incorrectly).

The page appears to display the first columns width for all columns extending the width of the page which breaks up the page.

If the page is then reloaded it displays correctly.

Can anyone suggest what could be causing the problem and more importantly, how it can be fixed.

Thanks in anticipation.

Jardry

Sorry to be such a nuisance, but can anyone explain why page falls apart after using javascript to go back 1 page?

Strange!! I've used three different PC's and they have all replicated the problem I have detailed.

EDIT - Actually I think it only happens using IE as when I tried it with FF it went back to the actual form tab (Tell-A-Friend), whereas with IE it goes back to the first form tab(Details).

Did you send the "Tell-A-Friend" or "Sales Enquiry" form twice with no details?
The first time you go back a page its fine.
The second time you go back the page is all broken.

I know most users would only need one go at correcting details, but if they needed more times, then having the page break detracts from the professionalism of the business and my web developing skills, so I would like to be able to resolve this problem.

Hi

I have not faced the problems that you told.

Its working perfectly here.

Just check for your computer settings.

That must be creating problems for you.

Thanks for the prompt reply.

I think the problem must then be to do with how IE is caching the page.
I'll check my settings and see if I can get it to refresh each time rather than use the cached page and see if that sorts out the problem.
