Parent Window Close

Hi,

Im trying to have the content of a site open in a pop-up window, and after the pop-up script executes i have a timer for the main window to close. however my main problem is this, IE6 (i dunno about others) has a "This window is trying to close itslef" warnign box...is there someway to get around this? im sure ive seen something like it before..? anyways, thanks for any tips...

Well, you should find some other alternative (even though what you want is possible). First of all, many users have popup killing programs and that means that many of your visitors may not be able to view your site because of this. Also, think about the other 13% or so that do not even have JavaScript enabled. You should try not to use popups whenever possible.
