I like your banner image/logo, but I don't think you need to have the blue part extend to fill the screen. In fact maybe your whole site would look better with the content boxes with blue outlines and blue fonts and white backgrounds rather than blue background content boxes... if you understand what I mean... (sorry it's kind of late out here my head's not working so well!) Other than that on your rollovers with your menu links you could maybe make your fonts smaller and add some padding to the div tags there so the writing isn't jammed up against the edges. Ok I just took a look at your code and you're changing the background color of the <a href links with javascript right. Isn't there an easier and more flexible way of doing this with css and changing the color of the tags the boxes are in rather than the background color of the links themselves? I'm sure someone else who knows their stuff better than me will let you know. Good luck with it! misterjozef 04-23-2006, 12:22 PM thanks for the comments. i'll keep your suggestions in mind and i'm glad u said it was simple and working instead of plain =) johneva 04-23-2006, 12:28 PM I dont like how the nav text is cramed together I would give each option a bit of a margin. The layout moves slightly from page to page this will be due to using tables for your layout and not keeping the styles for it consistant. I would advise learning how to make CSS layout websites as they are how it should be done and they work much better. Also using a CMS would have worked much better as you have so many games and software to show. It would be better I think if you did not have all the rage on one page spread um out so each letter of the menu has its own page. This will be even more important as you add more to it. Also not sure what it is missing as I am no designer but it just seems to be missing something. But as a whole nice work mate. EDIT After just reading the other review that has been made yes CSS rollovers are much much better. Another good reason to learn CSS. Kendi 04-25-2006, 11:17 PM It might just be my eyes, but the top logo was hard on my eyes. Took me a second to understand what it said. I would steer away from all the bold text. Took me a moment to notice the menu. Maybe tabs can be used or spaced in a way that it looks like a menu ie. Home | Software | Games | Webgames (Just a suggestion) Simple color scheme but another color might spiff it up a little more, besides, it's a gaming site, you want it to look fun and exciting. Some of the images on the first page or pixeled and unclear. Good Luck! Kendi KDLA 04-26-2006, 02:35 PM You might opt for sans-serif fonts for your design components. They look more modern. The serif font you've used makes your site look dated, i.e. at least six or seven years old. I agree with a previous posting which commented upon the banner. It's difficult on my eyes, too. A color besides white for the banner image's background might help with that. The use of bullets for long lists will help those quickly scanning the page; white space between bullet items (either by line-height or margin-bottom settings) will also facilitate quick reading. The coding isn't that great; you really need to go through and validate it (http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.demopros.net%2F). There are several unclosed tags which could cause rendering problems in other browsers. Good Luck - KDLA webdeveloper.com
