Hello everyone,
I'd just redid a friends website to include a flash menu. I would like to get some input to fine tune the site. I think the color might be alittle to much. But so far he likes it so I'll leave it for now and wait of your input. I'm still working on getting it validated so bear with me.

Thanks for your time.

always like the international scout, and i like the idea and applet menu. however i think you should scale the items down, and put them in the same plane as the scout ie just placing the axels over the top, and not having the angle the same kinda looks chinsey.
the salmon background i am not too sure about, a nice medium gray would do better to draw the users eyes to the center of the page with the red content areas.
all around a great site though.

Thank you Skilled1. The menu I did in a couple of days so it definitly looks like it. I see what your saying and I will definitely change it. Gray background was another options how ever, Jeff likes the red/samon. I'll probably run the other color by him.

Nice work I like it.
Though I think it is a bit small.
Also on the about us page I would give the text section a margin.
But yeah nice work.
If you want to get your Flash to validate you will wanna read this.

Thank you for your input Johneva. Glad you like it. I've been reading the tutorial on the alistapart site for flash. Just need to make the changes. Uh and it's all about the details, thanks for catching the margin.

It took a moment for me to get the concept of the truck fading behind the parts... you are placing the parts in relation to where the parts are on the truck... right? Did anyone else see this?
I agree with a previous post ... it's kinda small.

Yes, I am trying to put the parts where their suppose to be. It's very hard to find pictures with the same angle as the scout so I just add what I thought was good. If I try to add dimensions to the image, photoshop, it gets distorted.
As for the size, I'm assuming that everyones running higher resolution then 1024x768dpi to where the site is looking small. I'll have to work on this.

I got what he was doing right off the bat, but i think it is because some of them are not positioned correctly, it takes away from the illusion.

Love the images of parts over the faded vehicle. Agreed that placement could be a little better, but really no big deal. I'm into classic cars and always enjoy novel ideas.
I would suggest that you try a color coordinator as your colors don't go well together.
I agree with Kendi that it could be just a little wider. Maybe 1/2" more

Thank you for the comment Launchnet. I've widen it to 600px, moved the parts around in the green scout and changed the bg color. I've been struggling with the color combo. Can you recommend a color coordinator?

nope, i like that green on red combo you have going on very much, nice light olive color.
one last thing is to get the page to display perfectly in the center -height- wise, it scaels well with -width- but a hight variable as well would make it perfect in my eyes.
and the mouseovers with now correctly angled objects looks great.

Thank you so much.... My wife has the eye for design and she's the one that picked the color.
I've messed with this all day instead of working so I think I'm going to keep it this way for now. Still have to do the web form. I think I know what you mean about the height. I'll hack at it alittle bit.
