We just launched our web site not long ago. We need comments and suggestions to improve our site. From the web developers or users point of view, please give us any suggestions or ideas. We appreciate it very much.

i moght add a little more colour and a larger logo... at the moment there is a lack of impact. somthing to define a pressence, a brand... but otherwise i think your on the right lines

The main areas for improvement I can see are:

1) The logo is blurred; it would look so much better if it was more defined.

2) It looks a bit incomplete because the right hand side is a bit empty. I guess you're getting round to adding the rest of the links though, so I don't think it's much of a problem.

3) Personally, I don't like the colour scheme, but that could just be me. Some of the bits have a few contrasts that don't look great.

Apart from this, it's really good and I like the idea behind it. Good work.

Definaty when I first looked at the site nothing hit me at all I was lost really dint see what it was for straight away and nearly just close the window, but then remembered it was a reveiw I was ment to be doing.

Your coding for the site has lots of validation errors think it might even be a record 207 (http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.calcsmart.com%2Fhome.do&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=HTML+4.01+Strict&verbose=1).

I would dich the table layout you have used in place of divs and CSS and then get it though validation.

I dont like how the nav is on the bottom right people dont look down there much certainly not for a nav for the site.

There is quite a diffrence in the site when veiwed in Firefox to it was not till I check it in IE that I though ooo thats a bit better.

I will work on the logo and color to make it better. We do have some problem with those links right now, I guess we need refine those links to fit the whole idea behind it.

You're right, I used a lot tables to layout my page. That's the problem, I will change it using divs and css to make it work both on Firefox and IE.

Well, I like seeing my sign on the homepage, and the gift giving recommendations were pretty close to my preferences. However, you didn't mention that Pisces like to receive lots and lots of money. Oh well.... :D

I wasn't really sure what the site's "mission" was - a store, astrology, calendar, or directory. You might clarify that, and move some of the distractions away from that area, so the information is read. Once I saw "Pisces," I didn't pay attention to the rest of the page.

The navigation would be best placed on the left. It melts into all the ads you've posted.

Oh, by the way, do you have lots of content to pull from, or is this site experimental? I ask because the book recommendations for Pisces and Virgo were exactly the same. Pisces and Virgo are total opposites in disposition - my sister is a "classic" Virgo, and she wouldn't read any of the books recommended.

Actually you got very good points for us. We have kind of struggling with how to utilize the contents we have. That's why the links on the home page are just linking to the stores right now. If we're going to provide more information with those signs, all the recommendations for each of them should be carefully described. The more accurate, the better, right? :)

I temporally moved the navigation to the left side and changed a little bit color. Along the way, a lots of work involve the content, page layout, color and so on. Thanks for all the help.

Here are the first things I noticed:

The logo looks pixeled.
There are some gammatical errors. Get someone to proofread your site.
The blue links on the olive color background is hard to read.
The copyright is too light.
Try centering the page more.
