Hi,
This is my first post on what looks like a really helpful forum, so here goes.

I normally work with the front end of sites. I use Flash and ActionScript but it has fallen to me to research a new project that myself and a colleague are embarking upon. I, noe he knows anything about coding PHP, Java or the like. We aren't going to make this site ourselves as we don't have the time. We don't know what is a good price for a site is vs. a bad price.
So can you tell us?
Here is what we are going to need:

1. A client CMS that allows the upload of their data (loading of jpeg's, text etc) this would include the design of templates that the client could load the data into via the CMS
2. Dynamic publishing of this content that has a predetermined duration on the site before it is stored out of view on the server database.
3. Client account area with secure check out and password protection of login.
4. Admin CMS with access to statistical data captured (hits on the images uploaded, number accounts created and their details etc)
5. Graphic design for the front end of the site with logo.

In total we think it will need 16-20 pages.

I know that this is a stupid question and one that is extremely hard to answer with the details given.

My college and I are completely green to this side of the business and we hoped that someone out there might be able to tell us if this is likely to cost us $5000 or is it more like $10,000!

Thanks for your time on what is most surely the dumbest post of the day! :o

Sorry, but price discussions are not allowed on these forums.
