encryption package

Greetings,
I'd be grateful if I could get help with writing/implementing a java
software package with a simple graphical interface that encrypts words entered with other letters or symbols and can decrypt encrypted words as well. (It would be a bonus if the program could ask for a particular password before decryptions can be made.Thanks
