may anybody tell me the difference between these datatypes used in SQL
char,varchar & varchar2?

actually i'm also new to this site.so first i missed to notice the SQL forum so i put my query in Other forum but as soon as i saw the SQL forum i thought that may be my queries were not get attentioned by the users of this site due to topic mismatch so i put them in SQL forum too.
