Let's leave String Theory out of this. Afterall, they still can't agree on how many dimensions there are (10? 11? 26? (42? :p)).

But no, I'll revise the question.

Cube or Tesseract?

wh666-666
05-17-2006, 10:02 AM
Lol yes this thread is moving quite quickly though so i can see how sunny was still on previous postings. I was going to say in response to david on the previous page, not to be perdantic, but the final dimension is not time. For example n-dimensional space is the fifth dimension also used in mathematics and if i remember correctly from physics when i was younger nogdog is right in saying there are 10 dimensions, in working practise. Although string theory does offer a wider explanation to some relative theories it also raises alot of questions but is still just a theory and very difficult to prove or even explain all of it.

Anyway short answer is Cube. Its easier to draw and i hate mathematics (the formula behind the points of the convex hull). And then of course there's trying to explain to some people what a tesseract is.

So before we all become too brainy or our brains melt, one or the other.....

AMD
OR
Intel?

David Harrison
05-17-2006, 07:19 PM
AMD by such a long way, have you seen the Intel dual core designs? The two cores have to communicate via the FSB which runs so much slower than the CPU itself. AMD on the other hand, the cores can communicate on the chip itself which is much more efficient, not to mention that they have a LOT more efficient memory access. Add to that that AMD are bringing out a new socket type soon, socket AM2 with 940 pins, the new chips for it will also support DDR2 RAM, not that they need the bandwidth yet, but it's good for in the future.

In short, AMD.

But i prefer klingon warbird ships, quite cool, and id prefer a kligon on my side rather than a pervy romulan (i know their not supposed to be, but they always seem pervy to me)

I would have to say lust. Loves great and all but you need lust all the time and hopefully love could come from that. Promise to shoot me though if im like an old married git, im already bad enough moaning about the youth of today and im still in my twenties.

Well, an axe is silent, so you can creep up on your victim, but if you're using an axe then creeping probably isn't your style. I'd have to go with the chain saw, you can use it with far more precision, slowly bringing it closer and closer to their face until...

Oh, chain saws can cut trees down quicker too.

You've been picked to go on the first manned flight to Mars, but there's a 50% chance you might die. Do you go or do you play it safe and stay on Earth?

Sunny G

Wood floor
or
tile floor

David Harrison
06-18-2006, 11:05 AM
The trip wouldn't be 7 years, there's no way you'd be able to take enough to eat for 14 years + surface time. All the same, even if it was 7 years there and back, ARE YOU KIDDING??!?! STAY AT HOME? Don't you want to be the Neal Armstrong of Mars?

Moving on, tile, I don't like wood, it creaks.

Would you rather die of electrocution or being burned alive?

the tree
06-18-2006, 11:23 AM
With electocution it's possible to die without even noticing. Then again being burned alive would imply that I was being punished for being a warlock, which would be awesome so if I get to spend my living hours as a warlock, I'll go for that.
