Virus Scan

I am develop my application using ColdFusion...

how can i scan a upload file using my anti virus application before i store it..??

and if how can it return a message so i can tell the user their file got virus or not?

any script can do it?? and work with CFML?

This is what you typically need.
Runa server side application that before downloading/uploading reads a file and passes thriugh a virus detection routine that'd write..:-)

Right you are, Khalid. JavaScript, which has no interaction with file uploads, cannot do any virus checking. It will have to be done server-side. Web-based email programs such as Yahoo! or MSN have anti-virus checking on attachments. You might want to check with these companies (McAfee and Norton Anti-Virus) and see what they have to offer.

and i am running test on my own PC but just using Anti Virus personal edition...

so....

what i go to do now??
