I've been running it for a while now and I don't remember posting it. So, I thought I'd post it. It's called Green Penguin because it's mostly a random name, and I'm mostly random. If you don't like it, tough.

What's On It
Well, there are a few Photoshop tutorials, and my portfolio. I'm planning on adding more tutorials for not just Photoshop, but also for PHP and stuff. That's basically it. I mean, there are a few wallpapers, but not many. I'll probably be trying to add some fonts, brushes, and patterns for Photoshop.

The first problem I notice is the colored scrollbar (wasted idea), and then the fact that black over dark gray is kind of tough on the eyes.


I think the green rules.

The "language" is kind of aggressive.... you might consider lightening it up, and treating your readers with more respect.
People don't want to visit a site that considers them stupid.
Examples:Indeed, wtf? This web site isn't made to make sense so shut up. Don't ask me wtf. I'm not here to tell you wtf this is about. You are to discover that yourself, noob. That or you could just go look at the about section.
or
The news from this forum is displayed on there, so ha! Hopefully you people will read the news more often. Probably won't, but I still have hope for you.

As to the design, I noticed that some of the text, which is right-aligned, is cut off. (The "comments: #" after each posting)

I like the eyeball graphics. Nice rendering.

Lastly - proofread your text. There are some typos and grammatical errors.

I always color my scroll bar because I get bored. :P Sorry that it's rough on your eyes, I'll brighten it one day. Glad you like the green. :D

I was considering changing the sassy attitude stuff, but believe it or not, I get compliments on it. People tell me that it's funny. The "WTF" section on the first page is the thing they usually mention. I know it's crazy, but I'm serious. I haven't had any complaints until now. I'll consider lightening it up some, but I want the sarcastic humor there.
Thanks for noting the stuff is cutting off on my news posts. I usually don't test in IE that often. I'm a Firefox man. I'll be working on fixing the problem.
I love the look too. Just a little too Xbox looking. But still, it's meant to make a punk feel right at home.
About the horrible grammer: I'm an idiot. I'll work to fix it and learn engrish. lol

I would love for you to check and see if you find any problems in the forums. Like, maybe, there might be problems with my custom skin. A lot of people have been using them and they don't seem to be spotting the problems I find. If you could, visit some of the main pages on there.

You might change the order of the topics in the forum. The first one, you say yourself, isn't what anyone will read. From a usability standpoint, you're wasting some good "screen real estate" by keeping it there. Instead, place the ones most used at the top, and trickle down from there, to the most "unused."

I'd also change the names of the topics to the green color, so people can quickly scan the page for the right one. The dark gray on black doesn't have enough contrast to facilitate quick scanning.

Hm....alright about the green forum links. I'll probably end up changing them. But about the order, I want the news at the top, because it's the most important. I'll try to reorder them all though. I'll consider what you said because usually I just set them up. I think the most used is the User Boards category. I might push that up to the top. I don't know yet. Does that sound good?
