Well, it's been nearly a year since I've been here (July 29th 2005), and I'm back... sort of. Just need to brush up on some server side programming and whatnot. I've not a clue how many of you who were here when I was here are still here, or who remembers me, but... hey. :D Hopefully much has remained the same.

Not that I was here at the time of your departure, but 'Welcome Back!'
Hiya Paul,
Not sure if you remember me but I remember you. In fact, I was just browsing some of my blog archives the other day and saw some of your comments and thought "Yeah, where'd he go anyway". At any rate, nice to see you back. :)

Thanks for the welcome, guys. Some of you I remember (Jick, Bob, RHS, Jupac [I think]), and some of you I don't. :p
Man... I feel like I'm starting all over again. It's all like a foreign language to me. :D

I remember you being around when the forums changed skins and you stayed around after the change for about 3 months+ before you left the forums. I'm sure you're already familiar with the interface. I'll sum up some of the recent changes to the forums.
Added feature: Thread Tools -> Mark Thread Resolved.
Added tag:colorcode (http://webdeveloper.com/forum/misc.php?do=bbcode#colorcode).
(like the code tag but double spaces. If the user has JavaScript enabled, it also color-codes it -- not many use it)
Joe (JPnyc) went into a promoting frenzy and added several moderators to the forums.
Then about a month ago, he turned all current moderators into super moderators.
That's about it. A lot of the members have grown in the past year, so it might take some time before identifying all the gurus and giving members new labels. I think a good label for me is "arrogant DHTML geek" :D

Welcome back Paul. I don't think you'll remember me because I think I changed my user name whilst you were away. I don't think you'd recognise me by my old user name either come to think about it. I've never really been much of one for The Coffee Lounge.

Thanks for the update. Dunno who thought of the "Mark Thread Resolved" thing but it's a great idea.

Hmmm... I don't recognize this user name, but what was your old one?

It is possible. I remember being added to a conversation on MSN a while back whith quite a lot of us in there. Then a day later completely failing to remember which name was who and just giving up.
I only really continued to chat with Dave. But even that stopped two days ago when he just went mental, stopped making any sense for a good 30 minutes or so and then blocked me.

Well, you know, it is Dave. Do you expect him to make any sense? Seems like a fairly typical conversation to me. :p
