Hello just started a new site I was looking for some good input on how I should hone the functionality and appearance. You can check it out at:

Thanks any input will help :D
Very busy site. Way too much stuff going on, to the point of overcrowding. Not everything needs to be on the homepage.

The general color scheme and thematic elements of the design seem to work for the intended audience, but...
You misspelled "Intersection" in the logo.
I agree that it seems a bit too busy, contributing to a "lack of focus". The first meaningful content is about 1/2 way down the screen (1024 x 768) due to banner ads and a large, redundant "welcome" graphic (of course we're welcome, why else would you have a web site? ;) ), so I really have no idea what the page is about unless I spend time looking for content. As per the title of a good web usability book: "Don't Make Me Think" - make it immediately obvious what the page is about.
It's a decent start, but can definitely be improved with some editing (moving secondary/tertiary content to sub pages) and design tweaking (consider moving the adverts to a vertical column on the right, so as not to dominate your page - in fact some studies seem to indicate that text-only ads get better click-through results than graphic banner ads).
Oh, and don't forget to validate your markup (http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fmasternerd.com%2F).

Yeah I saw the typo in the logo. Ive already changed it  I appriciate the input from both of you. I do agree that the design is too busy and the welcome screams at you. I have since changed the welcome and Im gonna get rid of the banner ad at the top. Thanks for the link to the validation site. Its an open source content managment system and there is tons of bad code. Ill fix some of this as I go along. Text adverts were something that I was going to ad as I tweak some of the blaring problems.
