You need to get links pointing to your website, a lot, and then you will get picked up by the search-engines. Start with placing a link in your signature... Cheers Raremandan 05-20-2006, 06:56 AM You need to make your website so it's crawled you can do this by following a few SEO tricks, the basic outline is that you need to have: Accessible Site Sitemap Correct use of META tags Defined robots.txt Also then you could do with getting some links or reciprocal links to your site to make your site indexed and crawled more and also to achieve a better PR (Page Rank) for Google. Max Powers 06-17-2006, 07:01 PM Several major search engines will not spider your site without a meta description tag in particular. Using sitemaps will directly get you into Yahoo and Google (at least to some extent). Links to your site are the most important, but many search engines will penalize you for linking out to irrelevant sources. PPC programs offer a quick influx of visitors, but generally die off as soon as you cancel your ad campaign. And don't forget to submit your site to several of the more reputable directories... it's more than just a link. dmoz.org feeds it's contents to several search engines for their spiders to visit the URLs listed on their site. felgall 06-17-2006, 09:22 PM Without lots of relevant incoming links you wont get a ranking high enough for anyone to see in the search engines. With lots of relevant incoming links the search engines will give you a good ranking when they find your site for themselves without your having to do anything. affpro 07-04-2006, 01:53 AM hi, you can submit your site at three major search engines at following http://www.google.com/addurl/ MSN http://search.msn.com/docs/submit.aspx?FORM=WSDD2 yahoo http://search.yahoo.com/info/submit.html to make your site search engine friendly read some html and meta tag tutorials, spider 07-05-2006, 01:59 AM Here you can get lots of search engline to Submit http://www.selectivesubmitter.com/show.php webkahuna 07-16-2006, 03:53 PM Don't bother registering with the search engines or submitting to them for that matter. Just get a blog installed "on your website." write and post at least one short article (200 to 250 words) a day as it pertains to your website. Everytime you publish to your blog, it will alert the search engines causing them to crawl your site. JPnyc 07-16-2006, 03:55 PM Google, yes, Yahoo, no. Yahoo doesn't randomly crawl sites in the same way google does. We were getting lousy ranking for yrs on yahoo until I registered the sites with them. webdeveloper.com
