[RESOLVED] The Gimp messing up after installing Gaim

As a requirement of the GIMP, I remember installing the GTK+ Runtime Environment. Then several months later, i.e. today, I installed Gaim which I think also uses the GTK+ Runtime Environment. Now several features of the GIMP, filter previews, creating new images, etc don't want to work anymore but I can still open already existing graphics, edit them and re-save them.

Any ideas how to get The GIMP working again and not conflict with Gaim?

Forget it, I reinstalled The GIMP's GTK+ Runtime Environment and now both programs are working again without conflicts.
