I would like to inform you about a new site that I have produced at http://www.AwardsIndex.co.uk/ It is an Index of Awards Programs that you can use to win Awards for your web site. If you have your own Awards Program you can add it to the index also.

Interesting website. I'm curious as to whether the moderators consider this an advertisement
:D

I assume its is within the "grey area" since you have to be site that distributes awards to gain awards which is fairly peculiar, since I know my WVYFC site passes the rest of the criteria.
Yes, as Robert Wellock has said, it is a grey area. It could be considered a link to a resource for web developers. Also, we try to be a bit more lenient in the General section than we would be in the rest...

The reason I posted the message is to receive feedback and suggestions on improvements. If that leads to advertising then that is only a bonus. The site is for owners of websites who give awards to receive a rating for their site. Another example of this is http://www.awardsites.com/ .

Being said that it is an award program site, I have seen other award site that you have to pay to get an award, or they send you email saying that you have won an award and then you found out the cost for the award is $15 :D

These sites where you have to pay for awards are a waste of time usually. There are some really good awards that you have to pay to nominate a web site. One site that I have come across is http://www.goldenwebawards.com/ . This site will give an award to almost any site whether it is good or poor. The reason they do this is because they then try to sell you certificates and trophies to put in your home or office. The best advice is to apply for awards on sites that do not require any fee.

The menu on the left is too far down. I should not have to scroll down to see a menu. All the more since I have 1400X1050 resolution. The "Link To Us" image is slightly cropped off on the right side.

The 'Linktous' graphic is slightly cropped on all machine because that is how the graphic has been designed. I thought it was worth sacrificing a small part of the last letter to save making the font size different on all the menu graphics. It looked wrong when I made all the font smaller.

Well it looks wrong with it cropped off. Make your index wide enough so it does fit correctly.

Seems like that would be like winning a $500 lottery and then being told that there is a $600 processing/handling charge. :)

I will be changing the 'Linktous' graphic within the next few days. Thanks for the advice.

There are many good award sites on the web. I own one at
http://www.Super-Andy.com/Awards/ , but I would like that one. If you are looking for a really good site go to
http://websiteawards.xe.net/ . This will give you a worksheet of hundreds of Award Sites.
