Selectable DIV's

Ok, so I'm working on a ticket ordering system and I would like for the customers to be able to click on a div and "select" it...kinda of like a checkbox. It would then change colors and yeah...They will then be able to "checkout" and purchase all the seats they clicked on.

Anyone have the slightest clue how to do this? I'm incredibly stumped on this.

Use an onclick handler in the div.
