Hi everyone. I was hoping someone out there can help me out with a little annoyance on my mozilla browser. I just started using Mozilla, so this might actually be a dumb question for those of you who have been using Mozilla for a while. My question is, on some servers, if I try to access it through an ftp protocol, sometimes the username and password prompt doesn't pop up immediately. Normally under IE all I have to do is go under "file" and click "login as" and then it will prompt me for my username and password, then that will let me access the server, but on Mozilla when I go under "file" there is no "login as" menu item. I've looked at all the menus and I can't find anything that will allow me to login. What should I do? Is there a way for me to access those types of servers? I have no problems with servers that automatically prompt you for the username and password using an ftp protocol. It's just the ones that don't automatically prompt you and you have to manually find the prompt menu. Do you get what I'm trying to say? Thanks any help is appreciated.

There's a nice little extension for FF called FireFTP that you may want to download and try. Click to Download (https://addons.mozilla.org/search.php?q=fireftp&section=E)

You can type in all the ftp information in the url, ftp://userid:password@ftpdomain.com.
edit: the smiley face is there because there is a colon that seperates userid and password. Since p and the colon make a smiley face I'm not sure on how to edit.
