Hey All, I am a sort of experienced Photoshop CS guy. I know how to work my way around and make graphics and such. However, I am having a problem that I now realised is very big.

I made a very nice logo for a client and they wanted to print it out in high quality on a very big printout. However, the way I created the logo, was in RGB, 8bit mode with 72 dpi.

I know that I will need to work with at least 300 dpi and maybe CMYK, but what is the best way to create a logo from scratch for High Quality Vector printouts and usage?

In a nutshell, I basically want to create a High Quality Vector Image in Adobe Photoshop CS. What settings must I do and what must I do when saving to get this feature?

can you post the logo here and I can take a look at it?

There are some path tools in Photoshop like in Adobe Illustrator, not nearly as good but their there.

anyways post that logo and we'll see what we can do. also report back what pixel size the doc is now...

Illustrator is definitely the best - if you don't have it then you could download the free trial on the Adobe website.

If you don't have illustrator then you can use Photoshop. It has vector graphics and you can save it as psd or eps to preserve the vector objects

Are we talking about an image to be displayed on a website or not?

I think he's talking about making a master logo that can then be exported for use on the Web or in print.

i think it would be best to just stick with illustrator if doing anything with vectors and logos...i mean...alot of the functions in that program is for that kinda stuff.

Great. That answers the question. I will just use illustrator from now on. I was just wondering if Photoshop Supported the feature. I don't need to post the logo cause it doesn't exist. WIll do as soon as I make it it.

No need, the media was never stipulated the only thing that was a piece of creation software and a printout and dpi. There is absolutely no reason why it couldn't appear on a webpage I was discerning whether it was to be ever transmitted online for display via the web – it was palpable that a printout was required anyway.
