are they required here on the forums to delete previous posts? I'm curious because I've worked on my small website with help here and now SE's pull up all the responses as well my site? I guess I'm fine with that but I'd rather see my site info instead of forum responses too! I've got my site coming up by name (which is good) in the top of searches with yahoo, google and msn now. Just wondered if I deleted my posts would that clean the searches to my site? I guess the advertising back here is cool...just wanted to know what everyone does regarding this? Maybe post and responses can be made private locally here? Please let me know what the best approach is? Thanks and do hope all had a great 3 day weekend!

There is a setting in this software that determines whether users other than moderators and administrators can delete posts. The operators of this forum have decided that simple users cannot delete posts and they had good reasons for that. I suppose if you asked the operator here to put your site on the local kill list that would eliminate any perceived problems with "search dilution" or whatever your concern is. You do realize that linkages to your site from other sites are part of some search engines' ranking mechanism, right?

Yea..I do know about "links" and I most certainly appreciate the monitoring of "delete" as it can be most nasty if available wrongly! I'll leave it be as I originally did ask for support here! In fact I'll be asking again soon I would imagine! Just more things to learn as we open our minds to the power of the web! Thanks for the response!
