oh my gosh Jonathan
the 1st bad link was the one that you provided for your site! ;)
www.crosspoint.org = Forbidden
You don't have permission to access to this document on this server.
is there something wrong with your index page?
I'll wait until you fix that link...
before I respond to your poll question :)
the torture never stops....
;) k
All the links I tried worked... which ones are you haveing trouble with?

okay Jonathan...
now that you got your site link working...
i was able to test your links.
i noticed a few problem links in the main menu itself:
Home
CPK Club
Upcomong Events
i can tell you that the link to your home page link is showing as: <a href="http://home.htm/">
... and i'm pretty sure that isn't right.
and it appears that your in-page anchor tags are not working (i did a search of your source code and did not find any instance of name=... so none of those links know where to go).
but (BUT!) i also see that you made this site using MS Word.
(groan)
i'm not going to do too much de-bugging of your site... because i'm not fluent in the language of Word Document web pages...
(or actually... i'd really rather not sift through it all)...
so... my only advice to you is...
you should really re-create the whole site in HTML using a proper web editor.
MS Word may make it seem easy for you...
but it's not the way to go.
i still won't vote negatively in your poll question...
(i feel bad enough already :( )...
sorry Jonathan (really)... :( ...
;) k

Hello Jonathan,
To answer your poll question, yes, I think you did a good job for a beginner. Here's why:
Navigation is clean and simple.
Site is easy on the eyes. Not a lot of doo-dads & hee-haws cluttering things up.
Finding what the user would be looking for is easy.
That said, I would make the following suggestions:
First and foremost, fix your 'Home' link.
Then follow khaki's advice & switch to a real html editor. I hate to suggest it, but since I'm assuming that money is an issue here, isn't there a free version of FrontPage that comes with every version of Windows? Or am I confusing Windows with Office? Anybody? There are also other free web page design apps out there.
As far as design goes, I'd drop the nav links down a few lines. Maybe add a small image above them. A pic of the church?
And increase the size of your title on the home page, so it really looks like a title.
Just my opinions. Hope this helps.
