Harddrive Help

i got an internal HDD and an external case, i have it all hooked up right, (took out the jumper all the way so it is in single mode) and when i plug it into the computer it shows it come upand says it has installed the right drivers, but on the my computer page i can't get to it(does not show up) I have check device mananger and it says it is working fine, can anyone help me with this, i hope the HDD is not bad cause it is a 320GB one and it is brand new

did you try going through the "add hardware" procedure?? thats a pretty strange case..if it is showing up in device manager but not in "my cmoputer"...mayb its jut not compatible?

i got it to work, it had to be partishenoned(sp) and i had to get a program to do that, thanks anyways though :P
