Hi there,
What's a valid way of accomplishing this? I'm using
style="filter:progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Gradient(startColorStr='#4b92d9', endColorStr='#cedff6', gradientType='1')" at the moment but W3C's CCS validator don't like it!
Any suggestions?
Thanks/...

Hmmmm, I would rather avoid using images. But if you look at http://www.aylesford.kent.sch.uk/html/newbuild/progress.asp, you'll see horizontal gradients for the main content (which shouldn't change width size), but the menu will be longer on certain pages, so how will I get round this with images, without having it strecthed?
Thanks again/...

I wouldn't use that page as a model for anything? Have you tried opening it in Firefox? It's completely illegible.

Since your call this as style you need to add a semi-colon before the last quote without it, it won't work.
style="filter:progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Gradient(startColorStr='#4b92d9', endColorStr='#cedff6', gradientType='1');"
