The problem is that this isn't going to help because lots of people just don't read these things. After muching thinking I've concluded that it is because of these reasons: They are over-excited and/or in a big panic and don't think to read around the site and maybe look for posting guidelines. They see the words "How to ask a question" and think "pfft, I know how to ask a question." and don't consider the possibility that they really, really don't. They fail to reasilse that the sticky is posted by an experienced expert in the subject matter and how forums are run and don't consider the possibility that the advice is valueable. Some people don't really want an awnser, they just want to get the first response and call the person who gives it a dickhead and to tell them that they shouldn't have posted. russell 06-09-2006, 03:36 PM true. i thought it was humorous, but not as much so your response. i wonder if they meant it to be funny or actually helpful the tree 06-09-2006, 03:48 PM Probably both, it's that corporate sense of humour that's getting quite popular at the moment. wh666-666 06-09-2006, 04:24 PM lol i found it quite humerous just because microsoft love to state the obvious and provide stupidly long references to solutions that are quite simple when what they should really do is learn some programming skills because in professional skills they are complete muppets and i wouldnt trust any information originating from them in the first place. Which leads me to another reason how no-one would view this anyway just like tree said. Lol very humerous by the way russell. Ultimater 06-12-2006, 05:47 PM Wow! For once Microsoft has made "help" useful. sleven 06-15-2006, 05:12 AM Just let it as foolish questions. why not? Paul Jr 06-16-2006, 11:47 AM I can't view it properly with FF 1.5. Sucky Micro$oft. the tree 06-16-2006, 12:34 PM Just let it as foolish questions. why not?Because peoplle who can't be bothered to find out anything of thier own accord are so irritating. I can't view it properly with FF 1.5. Sucky Micro$oft. No problem on my end, maybe it's your build that is sucky. sleven 06-17-2006, 05:01 AM Oh, yes, I find a foolish postted question. Paul Jr 06-17-2006, 09:30 AM No problem on my end, maybe it's your build that is sucky. Could be. I'm not running the latest build, so that could be it... but that'd be silly. Who builds a website that only functions on the very latest build of a browser? What happened to backwards compatibility? sleven 06-17-2006, 07:52 PM Could be. I'm not running the latest build, so that could be it... but that'd be silly. Who builds a website that only functions on the very latest build of a browser? What happened to backwards compatibility? Look this: http://www.smelting.net sleven 06-17-2006, 08:00 PM Backwards compatibility, more compatible, more alleged communist people. webdeveloper.com
