I am trying to FTP information using Dreamweaver. I am getting an error message that a connection cannot be made to the host. I believe this error is happening because a few years ago the harddrive in the computer I am using was replaced with a secondhand one. The owner of the old computer ("Joe") is still recognized in some areas of the new computer as the System Administrator. Although in other areas, the new owner ("Jane") is recognized.

I realized that when I am defining the Local Root Folder in Dreamweaver, "Joe" is listed as the Administrator
C:\Documents and Settings\Joe\My Documents\my_website\

But when I go to the desktop and select My Computer, the Site Administrator seems to be the new owner, "Jane". BUT when I right-click on the "Jane's Documents" Folder and select Properties, I get:

C:\Documents and Settings\Joe

Can someone please help me out with this one? How do I get just one Administrator and is this even the problem?

Thanks!!!

hi,
try going into the local user and groups options in wondows and delete the other admin from there.

a way to get there is:

control panel > user accounts > advanced tab > advanced. then you can delete the other administrator from the list given. how that works.
