simple editor

i am looking for a simple html editor. my wish would be to find something as light as notepad but which color codes the tags like FrontPage. i would also like the editor to be portable like notepad (one executable would be best).

i am using FP now as an editor, it does what i need but it is too big (you know MS) and so not easily portable to take with you.

i have looked at HTML Kit - too big and complex also.

i have looked at NoteTab - would be great except it does not color code the tags so it is hard to read the code, may as well use notepad.

any suggestions?

hi, i have a program you might want to try, I'd be glad to email it to you if you have an address i could send it to. maybe you could pm it to me. i dont know if its what you need but i love it, it serves the purpose for me...you could at least look at it and see. no harm in that. and..its free!!!

use ultraedit. it's the best out there.
