All,
I was torn as to whether I should post this here or in the general section. Ive been reading about Microsofts low cost/low end tools that are slated to dethrone LAMP. Im not wanting a flame war to rise up in this somehow, I just want to ask some legit questions, specifically about Visual Web Developer Express($49.00?)
It seems to me that the reason php(and LAMP altogether) is so prevelant has a lot to do with the content management systems that are available. There must be a billion sites built on phpnuke or some derivative. So my question is this. Will the next generation of MS tools contain a content management system as well? Will an ordinary guy be able to throw up a blog in a few minutes using Visual Web Developer Express? I tried to research this on the MSDN but they did not indicate much in the way of content management.
Thanks for the help.
