Hey guys I'm creating a new website, and was just wondering if you could help me out...

Ok, questions:

I'm creating a website for my group of friends and I need advice on the following:

1) A navigation bar that I can stick wherever, that's got links to everything else on the page and that basically you can edit from one central location without having to go to every page on your web-site (I do not want to use frames).

2) A pic that displays on the page, with arrows for left and right so you can browsethrough other pics. The pic displayed is taken from a databse of pics, which are ranked according to popularity, newest etc. So you know like you can select whether to see the newest pics (and left and right arrows to browse) or see the most popular pics (with arrows to browse) and also a thing where you can rate the pic and post your own. Obviously I'd like to have adminstration rights.

3) A little chat window, that automatically logs the user in through a cookie when they start up the website.

4) A thing on my site that allows people to login, register and be able to change some content such as their bio, and submit pics of themselves (I know this is a big thing but you know like... point me in the right direction).

5) Is there a place like for rogue developers where you give them a task to do and give them money or some ****, you know. Like create this, and you draw up everything and mail it to them and give them half and another half upon completion.

Thanx a lot guyz.
I just retyped everything above because this forum just deleted it for no reason.

or: W3C Schools (http://www.w3cschools.com) <best place

these just have some tutorials that answer some of your questions

Anything more specific?

Sorry, like I mean exact links to customizable stuff or places that can do this for me.

HTML Goodies is an abomination. Avoid it at all costs!

It's full of incorrect an incomplete information.

The W3Schools site isn't perfect, but it's not so bad.

well, i said HTML Goodies isOK for beginners. And there you were wrong, dangerously wrong. It sets beginners off on the wrong path and quite a number of them never recover.

as i said:I did read your whole post. It is oft said that what make the Devil so effictive is that his lies are peppered with the truth.

And it's not a matter of opinion, the HTML Goodies site is full of lies!
