Website Audio not working in all browsers

Something very strange here. Until a few days ago, my website audio was working just fine in all browsers (I was getting pretty tired of hearing it every time I checked the site for something else). Then it stopped. Across the board.

I reinstalled the code in the page, reinstalled the page, the player and the MP3 on the server. Now it's even stranger. The buttons show up and the audio plays just fine in all versions of Netscape and Safari; the buttons show and "work", but nothing plays in IE, Maxthon and Avant; the buttons show but don't work and nothing plays in Opera; the buttons don't show and nothing plays in Firefox.

All of the browsers have the latest version of all audio players and I have refreshed the page (so it isn't a cache problem) and made certain all browsers are looking at the same location.

Anybody able to figure this one out? The page in question is in my sig.

I can't understand why you want to inflict your noises on your visitors but either way you'll want to read this article (http://www.alistapart.com/articles/flashsatay/).

Thanks for the reference, but the Web audio creation program I use already incorporates all of those. I did try it with just the "stripped down" version recommended by the article, but it didn't make any difference.

So, the problem remains.

I've checked in IE. THe audio is working perfectly. Then what is the problem????

Very strange - have gotten mixed messages from people saying it is working, it isn't working, it's loading slow, it's loading fast - across the spectrum of browsers.
