I'm redesigning a site that has pretty good standings in the search engines. I'm not changing the domain of course, but I am changing the hosting company. Will I lose my rank when I switch over to the new host and upload the new site even though I have the same domain?

www.smartdesigns.com <-- old site
www.digitalartsolutions.com <--new site (the URL will be smartdesigns though)

No, just changing the host should not change your page rank.

What about the redesign? I think I have set it up a little bit better as far as SEO goes (better titles, META tags, organization...), but since I'm redesigning everything do I lose any ranking?

I'm trying to read and learn as much as I can but I'm just not finding these answers. Thanks for the help.

Better titles, meta tags and organisation - and the fact that you're making changes to the site - should all help matters.

But...

The thing that will cause your ranking to drop is if you change the urls of your pages. There are things that can be done to mitigate the effect of url changes... but leaving well alone works best!
