I don't know. It makes Mac users seem sort of aragant, you know? I feel more sympathetic towards John Hodgman. Shouldn't Mac try appealing to another demographic, besides the twenty-something hipsters they already monopolize? *le shrug*

Of course that last one amuses me. It's dead WRONG. I buy I new camera, I KNOW it will work on a PC. Whether it works on a Mac, I'd have to check first and find out. pfft.

I think the commercials are great; Very convincing. I already use one.

Ditto, I really like the commercials. It's true that the subliminal messaging goes for the younger demographic, but the content says it all, and I've found it even appeals to the older demographic who's just looking for a way to get things done.

Been using a Mac for a year and a half, and I've been loving every minute of it. And MstrBob... trust me, you wouldn't need to check out whether your camera would work with a Mac or not :p It just works. Always. Ahh, viva la standardization (and not making the user deal with drivers)!

More than convincing, an absolute truth. I was a Mac user years ago and left when "The guys in three piece suits" took over, guys who did not understand technology but only finance.
But always longed for the simplicity, security, non-bloated O/S & stability.
Currently thinking of moving back on my next machine(s)

I like the "Hi I'm a Mac, Hi, I'm a pc, Hi, I'm Linux" parodies of these commercials.

My fave, -"pc" is showing off a new leather jacket that he is wearing, while complete strangers are walking up to Linux and bestowing upon her new articles of clothing. -A new beautiful scarf, a new fashionable purse, a new whatever... -open source means anyone can contribute... -get it?

Well, -Mac is politely admiring pc's new shiney 'wet-look' leather jacket and says "wow... (feeling the fabric) -is that pleather?" ("pleather" fyi is 'fake leather' made from a vinyl-coated cloth.. very 1970s!!! -Typical pc/m$/ie to be still stuck a decade or three behind the times and worse yet, -PROUD of it!!). :D

p.s., -did anyone else catch that "Mac" is co-star in that new Die Hard movie? Once again, type-cast as the computer geek. Actor in real-life (whose name I forget now) says he can barely download mp3's and that is about the extent of his computer skillz...
