Generating Images through text input

Does anyone know of a way to set up the following situation?

A visitor types text into a box, Clicks submit then an image (gif) is generated of this text in a pre-set font colour and size.

In addition if this is possible a bg colour is defined.

I have seen this before but where I'm not sure.

There was one site that did that for you for free. It is listed here but not available any more. Look at all the rest, you may find what you need.
