Free Content Articles

What websites/vendors do people recommend in terms of locating and using free content articles for one's own website?

I am taking a look at offering some article pages on my website and have heard that free content is available providing I give credit to the author. Is this a valid strategy and where can I find the content?

Shared content isn't the best idea. If you want to stand out you will have your own unique and specific content.

You could hire a writer... writers want their content published :), just be sure you have some solid terms e.g. the article must not be re-produced on other web sites.

Get family or friends to write something... cheap, free - they might even be a brilliant writer. I definitely wouldn't use free stuff as the quality is often not... great. You will most likely have to pay for anything "good".

A few simple searches on google should produce results you are looking for though.
